Florida Dachshund Rescue hasn't added a story.

Florida Dachshund Rescue got an urgent message from a shelter that a female Dachshund puppy needed urgent rescue because she was hit by a car. She had a fracture of the distal left femur (rear leg) and a severe fracture of the pelvis at the symphysis and would require immediate surgery to repair her injuries. We said we would save her and pick her up immediately. One of our volunteers picked her up and rushed her to our surgeon, Dr. Hay at Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Tampa. 

Dr. Hay did additional x-rays to confirm all her injuries. She will need immediate surgery for her broken leg. She will also need another surgery for her broken pelvis, because both surgeries at once would be too much for her.

We named her Abbie. After she is healed from the surgeries, she will also need to be spayed. She will not be available for adoption for at least 12 weeks (so no applications will be accepted at this time).

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HELP FUND ABBIE'S EMERGENCY SURGERY AND HER ADDITIONAL SURGERIES.

Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. We can't save dogs like Abbie without funds from our supporters.
