We come to you with a heavy heart to ask for your help. Our beloved Mellow, a sweet and gentle cat in foster care, is fighting for his life.

Mellow was brought to the vet for lethargy, urinating outside the litter box, not eating, and not drinking. Despite the efforts of his caretaker to troubleshoot these issues, Mellow's condition continued to worsen. Upon examination, it was discovered that Mellow had lost almost 1.5 pounds since his neuter just days prior, and his gums were extremely pale. Further bloodwork revealed that Mellow's hemoglobin and hematocrit levels were alarmingly low, and he was given a steroid and antibiotic to help raise these levels.

However, despite these efforts, Mellow's condition has not improved. His bloodwork shows a continued decline in his hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, and he remains lethargic and immobile. The vet suspects that Mellow may have autoimmune hemolytic anemia, and additional testing is being done to investigate this possibility.

Mellow is now pushing towards a critical stage, and we fear for his life. We are doing everything we can to provide him with the care he needs, but we simply cannot do it alone. We are reaching out to you today in the hopes that you will find it in your heart to help us help Mellow.
