Shelters and sanctuaries are FULL... but there is a solution

Large numbers of abandoned and unwanted domestic rabbits can be safely, securely and happily housed in indoor or outdoor ‘rabbitats’ built in conjunction with animal shelters, pet rescues, institutions, ‘green’ businesses or on private land under the care of responsible citizens...

 

 

We have kicked off a ‘Host a Rabbitat’ campaign
offering assistance to people able to foster small colonies
and the response has been EXCELLENT!

       

Our goal is to get at least SIX (6) enclosures built ASAP!
But it will take materials and money

We need donations of cash and materials to bring this home.  Each structure costs between $2500 and $4000, housing between 10 and 25 rabbits each. Donations of fencing, plywood, boards, roofing, wire and even screws will bring those costs down, and of course, cash is king.

With your help, we can rehome dozens of rabbits in safe, peaceful spaces.  Contributions can cover: 

  • $4000 for a double enclosure
  • $2500 for a single enclosure
    or
  • $1000 for labour
  • $800 for a roof
  • $500 for gutters, pipes
  • $300 for road base
  • $100 each for fencing panels
  • $65 for a sheet of plywood
  • $50 for 2x4s
  • $35 for 2x2s
  • $20 for screws

Want to help but not in a place to donate? Join our "Bundraiser" for Giving Tuesday and the Giving Season! 

You create your OWN campaign that you can customize with pictures, stories, and why you want to help out, then share it with friends and family to ask for their help with donations.
