THE PUPPY RESCUE MISSION hasn't added a story.
Meet the pups of Africa~
Jameson~
" I found Jameson close to our operational base, covered in dirt. She was along side her brother, very scared and malnourished. I fed her and slowly gained her trust, so now she sleeps by my side every night, and plays every morning. She FaceTimes my children and wife every day and shows them all her new tricks and talents. The dogs in the area aren’t treated very well and have trouble finding enough food, so I’m trying to bring her home to our loving family with a big yard to play in.“
Blade~
"I adopted Switchblade while deployed as part of a special forces ODA in Diffa, Niger. I raised him from a puppy and fed him and we have become very attached to each other. If he does not get rescued he will be released into the wild and is not likely to make it."
MJ~
"MJ showed up at our base after the local military had complained about a dog issue. They were debating how they could fix the problem or if they should kill the dogs. MJ and her two siblings arrived in boxes. MJ was very skinny and scared at first, but she quickly realized that she was safe with us and started trying to walk around and say hi to everyone. She was about 10 weeks old, but she was having difficulty walking. I wasn't sure what was causing the issue, but I knew something was off. Being the medic here, I started checking her out to try to figure out what was wrong with her. While giving her a checkup I saw that she had a tick infestation and started pulling off ticks. I pulled off about 50 ticks, before I gave her a bath and many more came off during the bath. 48 hours later, she was a brand new pup and was zooming around just living her best life! I spoke with a veterinarian back home, and she believed that MJ had developed the early stages of tick paralysis and that she certainly would have died if she had not shown up to our base when she did. MJ and I formed a tight bond because of this event, and now we are always together. When she isn't with me, she is just running around the camp yodeling at every person she sees as she runs up to them to get all of the loves. MJ and her siblings help bring up morale on this base every day while they run around playing. She truly is just a sweetheart and I want to do whatever it takes to get her home to the United States where she can grow up and live a long and happy life with me and my family. Thank you to everybody in advance for helping get MJ home for everything that you all do at the Puppy Rescue Mission!"
