Eddie is an 11 year cocker spaniel came to us last year from a local municipal shelter. He had an unfortunate accident in his foster home. By jumping up onto a chair and then back down he ruptured two discs in his spine. He was rushed over to Boundary Bay by our vets to have emergency spinal surgery. He did well through the surgery and is now in intensive care for his initial post op recovery. He will require about 3 months of specialized recovery and rehab which he will do at SAINTS. Hopefully he will come through his recovery without being a paraplegic.
Unfortunately Eddie's $8000 accident happened at a time when six of our permanent fosters have had recent vet visits. We are finding we are being stretched this month for vets expenses. We could really use some extra help paying off Eddie's vet bill that is looming in the very near future.
