It costs over $450,000 to run SAINTS. Most of the animals that arrive at our sanctuary come with huge vet bills and a large percentage continue to require medical care. This means it's critical for us to keep funds available for veterinary care. This year, we aim to raise $20,000 to go towards much-needed repairs and upgrades to our MP (multi-purpose) Building. Mold is an increasing, serious issue and one of many big projects to tackle so we really need your help!
We aim to also put some fun into our fundraising. Our volunteers form teams, dividing themselves into the area they volunteer in: the barn, the house, and the mp room. Then they're on a race to raise the most amount of money for their respective areas; it's all very exciting and for such a great cause! The event will culminate on May 7th at the Townhall Public House in Maple Ridge where we will announce which team raised the most dollars.
We invite the public to join in the fun by giving a donation to your favorite area of SAINTS. If you have a love for our farm guys like Brad Pitt the pig, Carl the llama, Ziggy the donkey, Bill the horse (and Team Captain), then donate to TEAM BARN. Most of our dogs and some of the cats including Geezer (Team Captain) live in the house so if they are your favorites you can donate to TEAM HOUSE. And TEAM MP (multi-purpose) ROOM is where our special needs dogs such as Diesel the bulldog, Oscar our cranky, yappy resident and Team Captain Ella live. Cats like sweet Olivia and Patches (who is mostly with the rabbits) and one happy pig named Poppy also live here.
