Help Protect the Future of Paws Unite People
Â
For years, Paws Unite People has stepped up for the animals that others couldn't or wouldn't help.
Â
Senior animals.
Â
Medical-needs animals.
Â
Behavioral rehabilitation cases.
Â
Cats from large-scale hoarding situations.
Â
Dogs that needed months of patience, training, and support before they could trust again.
Â
Our rehabilitation center was built to give these animals a safe place to heal.
Â
What many people don't know is that shortly after moving into the facility, we began experiencing serious building issues that have continued for more than a year.
Â
Since moving into the rehabilitation center, we have documented:
Â
• Multiple sewer and backflow events
Â
• Repeated roof leaks
Â
• A sprinkler pipe failure
Â
• Flooding and severe humidity issues
Â
• Ceiling collapses
Â
• Fire alarm activations
Â
• Damage to flooring, ceilings, insulation, soundproofing, equipment, and animal housing areas
Â
Some of these repairs happened more than once.
Â
We replaced flooring.
Â
Then replaced it again.
Â
We replaced ceiling tiles.
Â
Then replaced them again.
Â
We repaired damaged areas.
Â
Then watched water damage the same areas all over again.
Â
Throughout all of this, the animals still needed us.
Â
So we adapted.
Â
We relocated animals when rooms became unusable.
Â
We purchased dehumidifiers, air purifiers, ionizers, air scrubbers, and environmental-control equipment.
Â
We repaired damaged areas.
Â
We replaced materials.
Â
We absorbed thousands of dollars in unexpected expenses.
Â
And despite everything, we passed our New York State inspection because our volunteers refused to give up.
Â
The animals came first.
Â
They still do.
Â
Unfortunately, the roof continues to leak.
Â
After more than a year of documented issues, maintenance requests, emails, photographs, videos, and repair attempts, there is still no permanent solution in place.
Â
We have reached a point where we can no longer continue absorbing these losses indefinitely.
Â
Over the coming weeks, we must determine how to protect the future of the rehabilitation center and the animals who depend on it.
Â
Without significant support, we may be forced to make decisions that could impact our ability to continue operating this program.
Â
That is a reality we never wanted to face.
Â
This fundraiser will help us:
Â
• Protect the future of the rehabilitation center
Â
• Address ongoing facility-related expenses
Â
• Obtain legal consultation and professional guidance
Â
• Evaluate repair and relocation options
Â
• Continue providing care for the animals currently depending on us
Â
Most importantly, it will help ensure that the animals in our care continue to have a safe place to heal, recover, and wait for their forever homes.
Â
If Paws Unite People has ever helped an animal you cared about, inspired you, educated you, made you smile, or reminded you that second chances matter, we are asking for your help today.
Â
Every donation helps.
Â
Every share helps.
Â
Every supporter matters.
Â
Thank you for standing with us and for believing in second chances.
