A tiny little 7 year old girl, all of 8bs, found herself at the shelter. We don’t know her back story and we certainly don’t know how she found herself there.
She is “old” by shelter standards and presented with mammary masses on her tummy. The mammary masses automatically ruled her out for being placed on the adoption floor, which only left her only ways out of the shelter - rescue or euthanasia.
A plea went out from the shelter asking for rescue for this sweet, sick, senior girl they described as “sweet as molasses”.
Um…..how are we supposed to say no to that?
Ok, ok, you got us. Hook, line and sinker.
We placed our rescue old and the little girl we named Ginny was pulled from the shelter and took her freedom ride to Dr. Bruce’s Animal Hospital where she is getting settled in. Dr. Bruce will examine her, do some blood work and then see what the plan will be for getting those yucky masses off this sweet girl, along with a spay to make sure she doesn’t get any more ever again!
