We are a 100% volunteer run and 100% donation funded organization—no overhead, no fancy offices, no high paid execs, and no glossy commercials—just a bunch of people who love doxies enough to forgo sleep and probably retirement to make sure they find good homes. Every dollar helps and we make sure each and every single one of them goes as far as it possibly can... On average, the vetting of each DRSF Doxie we welcome to our family is over $1,000 (we have some seriously geeky number crunchers who need to get out more....). We are not backed by large corporations or grants, but by people just like you, who love doxies, and love an happy ending. Would you consider a tax deductible donation of any size to support us?

He Was Forgotten in Plain Sight While His Leg "Healed" Backwards - Pepe's Story

The photos come frequently from Puerto Rico with local, independent rescuers trying with everything they have to find a way for their fosters to get the care they need and have a chance.  We are pretty numb to things these days, but when we saw Pepe's ...

Kai's Family Abandoned Him Not Once, but TWICE

We have heard some rough stories from out of the shelters over the years, but this one shattered our hearts in a whole new way.  Here’s the backstory: A blast went out on the internet for three dogs who had been picked up as strays in the West Palm are...

A Foster With IVDD after 7 Cases of Parvo

All IVDD surgeries are hard to fundraise for, but the hardest ones of all are IVDD surgeries for dogs already in foster care and coming off the heels of 7 cases of parvo that we don’t even know if we have our heads above water yet, why wouldn’t we have...

Bean's Mysterious Neuro Condition

4 Doxie Lives Hang In The Balance Fighting Parvo

We usually start our fundraisers out with a soft lead, a little backstory, a lob across the plate to hook people's interest. What we are up against, not even 24 hours after Chase's IVDD surgery has us terrified both medically and financially so we are...

Chase Had IVDD and His Mom Couldn't Care For Him

All surrender stories are sad, but some tug at your hearts more than others especially when incredible people step in to help... We received an email a couple days ago, looking for help for an IVDD dog who is outside our area. We generally try to take...
