The call came from Access Specialty Hospital…
They had a beautiful, one year old, long haired little boy named
Milo, who had come in earlier, with a suspected “foreign body”
situation - likely a bowel obstruction.
He had been given fluids to re-hydrate him after being ill from
trying to pass whatever he had inside, the fluids were not helping
whatever it was pass, Milo was deteriorating and he needed to go to
surgery or be euthanized.
His family was not able to provide the care Milo needed- either the surgery itself or the after care (which is Understandably equally challenging for families to provide.)
It looked like Milo’s story was going to end there, but the Dr.
bought some time and made a Hail Mary phone call to President Pam… If
Milo’s parents were willing to surrender with DRSF, take him?
There was no time to think as Mylo’s condition was worsening by the
second and he needed to go right to surgery.
It is another heavy left, but one look at his picture and we
were done. Yes, we will take him if the family will surrender. The
forms were filled out and Milo is getting prepped for surgery.
We are back again to ask your support to make another miracle for
Milo. We have fingers crossed that everything turns out well and they
can get whatever is inside of him out.
