Do you remember this sweet boy who waited for 5 long days for someone to come get him as his story made rounds on social media and his stray hold ticked by?

Five days of waiting.

Hoping someone would come for him.

But on the other side of those five days, WE were waiting for him.

As soon as his hold was up, we sprung him, gave him a new name, Hugo , and promised him that whatever came next, he would not be alone.

We had barely had a chance to celebrate his freedom when everything changed as Hugo went into a seizure  

Not a few seconds. Not a minute.

Nine terrifying minutes.

There was no other choice. Hugo was rushed from Dr. Bruce’s to LeadER to get the care he needed.

We don’t know yet what Hugo’s road ahead will look like. We don’t know what caused such a prolonged seizure or what his medical needs will ultimately be.

What we do know is that after five days sitting in a shelter waiting for someone to come for him, we weren’t about to let him down on day six.

Hugo deserved to get out.

He deserves answers.

And he deserves every chance we can give him.

Hugo’s journey with us has only just begun and we are back again to ask your help to help us cover his care.
