We are guessing she spent nearly her entire life outside, cast off by her family, likely with little shelter or love watching the days and the elements go by. Chances are she never felt kind hands or a soft bed, or good food.
Lilkely, year after year went by like this until she got too old, or her system got too weak to fight off all the bugs, viruses, elements, and conditions that can overcome a system without shelter, food, or love to support an immune system.
Slowly, something began to eat at her, we are sure it started small enough, just a spot, but as with any condition untreated, it grew, and grew, and as it got bigger and wahtever the infection was, it gained momentum, and moved faster and faster.
The little girl we have named Genesis was clearly suffering, for who knows how long, with no way to help herself, and with those who should have provided her the care that she needed, idly sitting by, doing nothing to help her.
As she suffered, there was someone who was aware, a neighbor who had watched her condition deteoriate for however long, and today, that person had had enough and told Genesis' "family" as such and convinced them to surrender her to them.
They were also in no position to provide her the care that she needed, but had a heart enought to not allow her to continue suffering and so Genesis' guardian angel brought her to the shelter, where they took one look at her and called us.
The Pambulance was in the field in short order getting Genesis and getting her to LeadER Animal Speciality Hospital where she could immediately be evaulated, started on IV Fluids, and without having to wait too long, be seen by a dermatologist to determine what she needs.
Her eyes look like they have all but given up, but we have all seen that look before, we we know what a few days of love and care can do to turn it around. You have given us to much this week, and another little one has found their way to our door yet again. Can you help us make another miracle?
