At just six months old, he should be getting to do puppy things - playing with toys, snuggling with his family, and getting to see how wonderful life can be. 

Instead, this sweet boy found himself at the shelter after being hit by a car and his tiny body was broken beyond belief before his life had even truly begun.  In case that wasn’t bleak enough - his only way out of the shelter was via rescue.  

He could not run. 
He could not play. 
He could barely move without pain.

And the clock was ticking.

If you have followed us for any amount of time, you know that there is no injury that we dread more than a broken pelvis.  You can’t “see” a broken pelvis and despite the generous discounts we receive, are the most expensive surgery we do. 

There wasn’t anyone else coming for him and we found ourselves back at the crossroads we try to avoid at all costs- let a puppy die or take on a huge fundraising lift that is notoriously difficult and will likely leave us thousands of dollars upside down.

We couldn't let his life end before it had even begun. 

We are not sure if we are compassionate or crazy, but we said yes.  We placed our hold and Fritter was soon on his way to LeadER where he will be under the care of Dr. Marin who will figure out how to put Fritter’s broken puppy pelvis back together again in a major orthopedic surgery on a teeny tiny body.  

We cannot do this without YOU and we are asking your help, in a donation of any size, to give Fritter a chance to heal and have the life he came so close to losing.
