When we think we have seen it all, another little one finds their way to our doorstep in a horryifying condition with no clear understanding of how they got that way, but that without us they have no chance.

Last night at 11 PM, a little doxie pup, only 5 or 6 months old, was left in a carrier outside the West Palm Beach shelter.  When the shelter opened this AM, they found that this little boy in extreme pain, and x-rays revealed that he was suffering from a horrifically shattered pelvis and broken leg.

The call went out from the shelter....was there someone that could help as the shelter was not equipped to provide this kind of care or they would have to put him down.  The board had to vote....we are still working to find Winslow's and Forrest's care, but we are "dachshund rescue" not "dachshund only when all our other bills are paid" and so Pam got in the truck and drove to West Palm to get him and bring him in.

Veterinary Specialists of South Florida was alerted they were on their way and were going to need immediate help and so Dr. B and team were waiting for Pam and the little boy we have now named Titan.

How he came to be in this condition is a mystery as from what has been seen so far, he does not have any other abrasions consistent with being hit by a car, but his pelvis is totally shattered, with nothing inside of him being where it should be.  He is on a catheter to support his bladder, and most heartbreaking of all, his tail is completely gone, with not even a nub left which suggests that Titan's life has not been a kind one.

We very much need your help as we have two other huge fundrazr's open and this one is going to be pricey, even with the incredible consideration given to us and our dogs form VSSF.
