The call came from ACCESS Speciality Hospital in Palm Beach Gardens.  We had helped them help doxies in the past - would we have room to help another?

With trepidation in her voice, President Pam said "sure - what is the situation?" and the dog we saw was not even close to a match for what he has been through.  

Meet Tootsie– The happiest Doxie you will ever see, even after what he has been through.  Take one look at his big smile and you would think he doesn't have a care in the word. 

Tootsie ended up at ACCESS after being hit by a car with some pretty serious orthopedic injuries.  HIs Mom loved him very much, but Tootsie needs extensive medical care that she was not able to provide, nor was she equipped to provide the extensive after care that he will need. 

After some soul searching, Tootsie's Mom made the hardest loving decision any pet parent will ever make - she chose to surrender him to DRSF to provide not just the urgent medical care Tootsie needs, but the after care as well.

There is no time to waste and Tootsie is headed to surgery to put this smiling boy back together so that his insides match his outsides and we are back again, to ask your support, in a gift of any size to make sure that we can continue to say "yes we can help" for all those who need a soft spot to land.
