23 Dogs....At one Time.
DRSF has welcomed 23 beautiful doxies to our family. They came all at once, and it was a team effort of very late nights, very early mornings, some freaking out, logistics to rival a military operation, some more freaking out, and lots of coffee, but we have them.
We have all TWENTY THREE of them....Whiskers, Duchess, Florence, Lemon, Maggie Mae, McGee, Trudy, Bodhi, Dolly, Oreo, Aurora, Taffy, Goose, CoCo Chanel, Whisper, Sushi, Freya, Theo, Oscar, Mia, Whisper, and Ember.
All of them initially came to Dr. Bruce's Animal Hospital where they stayed until 9 of them were transported to Pet Medical Center of Boca with Dr. Huges, Dr. Roof and their team, 5 others going to Everglades Animal Hospital with Dr. Wemen with the rest staying with Dr. Bruce to start getting checked out.
And now we need 23 of everything we need for an intake - 23 beds, 23 blankets, 23 harnesses and leashes, 23 exams, 23 fecals and heartworm tests, 23 rounds of bloodwork, 23 spay/neuters, 23 rounds of vaccines, who knows how many dentals, and we don't even know what else we might be dealing with until they are all examined.
These dogs are beyond beautiful and we can't wait to introduce them to you one by one on our social media feeds.
As we work to get photos of them all and get them examined and know what they need, we are here, on bended knee, with exhaustion in our minds and panic in our hearts, asking your help to help us cover their intake costs....so, so many intake costs that will need to be covered quickly.
Our average intake expenses run roughly $400 (not counting anything above and beyond supplies, bloodwork, diagnostics, and vaccines) and so we are way out on a limb...at least $9,200 worth of a limb just for intake expenses alone.
We are trying not to freak out.
We know they are worth it and we hope you do too.
