We received a note from one of our Rescue Partners in Puerto Rico asking for help for a beautiful silver dapple little girl.  If we could take her, that would open up a spot for another dog.  Conditions in Puerto Rico are beyond horrible for dogs and we are on board to do what we can to help not just the dogs, but the rescuers who are up against an insurmountable battle there.

Of course, we said yes, a plane ride was arranged for the little girl to get her to Miami, and one of our fabulous volunteers was on board to pick her up at MIA upon her arrival.

When the sweet girl we have named Lupita arrived, we were broken hearted to see that at some point in the flight, she had suffered an abscess tooth that had blown through her face. 

We can't imagine how much pain she had been in up to that point and then to be so scared on the plane AND have an infection so horrible that the only way to relieve the pressure was to blow out through her face.  

Lupita immediately made her way to Dr. Bruce's Animal Hospital where they were able to get her on some pain meds and antibiotics and she will have one heck of a dental in the next few days once we give her a minute to decompress.

We are back again to ask your help for a little one who has suffered so much already but with a little love and a good dental, has the chance at the happily ever after every dog deserves.
