The stories of animals in the shelter never cease to amaze us but after all these years, their photos still make our hearts hurt.

Meet Ping...Ping found himself as a "stray" at a local shelter and due to his condition was marked "rescue only" which means, as we all know, that Ping had one way that he could get out of the shelter, and it wasn't going to be via the adoption floor.

To say that Ping is emaciated is an understatement and his body score is so low, that it can't even be assigned.  Along with having food denied to him for who knows how long, he is also anemic, and has a heart murmur, and he has been throwing up and having diarrhea on top of it. 

We caught wind that this sweet little man was in the shelter, immediately placed, our hold, and sprung him as soon as we were able to get him the care that he had obviously been denied for so long.  

Ping's freedom ride took him right out of that shelter and headed north to Dr. Bruce's Animal Hospital, where Ping was greeted with love, care, and a promise that there are nothing but good days ahead for him.

We already know that this sweet boy has a pretty long road ahead of him, and will be starting with bloodwork and x-rays to see what else he has going on aside from what we know already.

We are way out on a limb as our last fundraiser did not do well and our war chest can only handle so much before we have to start making difficult decisions and we have fingers and paws crossed that you will think Ping's life is worth it.  Would you consider a donation of even a few dollars to help us give Ping the life and home he so deserves?
