We cannot catch a break and after a $10,000 week filled with mammary tumors, we were contacted to ask if we could help Meatloaf, a morbidly obese 8 year old who was found by a food Samaritan dragging himself through a parking lot suffering from IVDD. 

His condition is heartbreaking as his tummy is red and raw from dragging himself along for who knows how long, and a scar around his neck tell the story of additional neglect by someone not caring he had gotten to big and his collar was too tight and digging into his neck. 

Despite all of this, Meatloaf is sweet and trusting and is making his rounds of DRSF vets visiting first with Dr Weiner at Dr Bruce's Animal Hopsital and then making his way to Dr DePompa at Southeast Veterinary Neurology who determined that deapite the additional challenge of his weight, Meatloaf was a surgical candidate, so we are back on deck for another $3,000, making this over a $15,000 week for us. 

We need your help to fund Meatloaf as our war chest is a bit depleted and we will have to start making some tough decisions which is the last thing we want to do. Every dollar counts and if everyone gave even just a few dollars, all of our dogs this week would be funded.
