Rusty is a giant poodle who is skinny and bony because Rustyl can't open his mouth due to masticatory myositis...and he can't walk due to severe nerve compression in his hind limbs.
After several veterinary tests the results were: 1. Ehrlichia infection (causing respiratory failure, renal failure, meningitis, disseminated intravascular coagulation) 2. Jaw lock (consider masticatory myositis, not excluding TMJ fracture/dislocation) 3. PCR distemper, which is a highly contagious disease that can be a matter of life and death 4. Severe compression of the nerves in the hind limbs.
