The Boxer Transfer Network hasn't added a story.
These puppies came from a horrible situation. They're safe with a rescue lady in Texas now. But she is asking for help to place them. We agreed and are arranging transport. But we need funds. Any help you can offer is very much appreciated.
Here is their story from the woman in Texas that has them.
These pups came to me on 7/6. My daughter was out front and heard a puppy screaming down the street so started walking towards the sound and found one of them with her head trapped under a garage door. The "owner" had left the mom and 5 (5) week old puppies in the garage with a tiny crack in the door for airflow. I honestly don't know how she even managed to get herself out and it appears she got her head stuck trying to get back in. She was frantic and dehydrated as it was nearly 100 degrees here but otherwise OK. She was full of fleas and hungry so we kept her here, reported them to the SPCA, then went down as they got home that evening and convinced them to surrender all 5 puppies to me. They promised to spay mom and I gave them a free resource as well as a few low cost resources that could be utilized for this. Unfortunately, since she is theirs we have no control over that, but I will follow up and keep bugging him about it.
Anyway, there are 5 pups, 4 females and 1 male. The male has been with another foster, but the girls are all still with me. They are healthy, happy and playful! We have dewormed everyone (twice-male had resistant hooks so we did a 7 day round of panacur on him the 2nd time) The girls were all parasite free on fecals. They have had 2 rounds of DAPPV plus one bordatella so far, still too young for rabies but all have been here for 5 weeks now with no real issues except some diarrhea here and there (which we determined was the parasites plus food changes). If you decide to take them we will get their health certs for travel on Friday.
They are well socialized and like being held and loved on! All but 1 loves to splash in the puppy pool every afternoon and evening, they are quite adventurous.
I'm attaching some updated photos as the ones Sarah initially had are when they first came to us. They have gotten so big and beautiful! Mom is a black GSD and dad is supposedly a doberman. They look the part but hard to say if that really was dad. I'm taking them at their word on that issue.
Let us know what you think!
