Cleo was found badly injured and dirty on the streets of Philadelphia, the Stray Cat Relief Fund and a wonderful foster took her in. Cleo is a sweet Senior Calico cat (most likely 7 years old), her favorites are churu‘s and cuddling in bed.

I adopted Cleo in late March 2024, two weeks later I noticed that Cleo was unable to make it to the littler box and had diarrhea. An initial vet visit was unable to figure out what was going on but I hoped that Cleo would get better fast. Unfortunately she has only been getting worse, in late May she started throwing up consistently, sometimes three times a day. Several vet visits have been unable to figure out what is going on with Cleo, her most recent vet visit at Washington Ave Animal Hospital examined her feces for viral and bacterial infections with nothing relevant found. That vet visit also cost me 350$. The next step in Cleo‘s care would be an ultrasound, which costs 600$ at the low-cost Bridge Clinic in Philadelphia. This test is vital in figuring out what is wrong with Cleo and being able to treat her.

Cleo deserves the world, she most likely spent considerable time as a stray cat roaming the streets of Philadelphia - dirty and with a fractured knee. When she was found, she was limping. She survived harsh winters in Philadelphia that gave her frostbite so badly her hair on her ears was gone. She finally has a chance at living a comfortable life, cuddling in bed and helping her mum at work (she likes to sit on my lap). She just needs some help right now!
