Hello, my name is Lucy. I'm 10 years old, and I've been through a lot. My previous owners, who had me since I was a kitten, decided they didn't want me anymore. I've never been to the vet in the 10 years I spent in my old home. I didn't receive any immunizations or regular checkups.

I have a new home now, and I'm slowly getting used to my new surroundings. I'm feeling shy, sad, and possibly traumatized. My new parents already have two cats, and I hope to make friends with them, once I feel better.

This week I visited the vet for a checkup, immunizations, and extensive blood tests. It was discovered that I have a grade 3 out of 6 heart murmur and very, very bad teeth, which are causing me pain. Some of my teeth will need to be removed, but not until I have an echocardiogram to determine if my heart can handle it.

The medical treatments I need are very expensive, and my parents are teachers who just bought a house and don't have a lot of money. However, when they heard about my situation, they couldn't let me be taken to the shelter, so they made me part of their family.

Please, if you can, help them pay for the medical treatments.
As of today, 12/13/24, I lost one of my teeth, and it is more urgent than ever for me to get treatment.
Please help me, if you can.
