Sophie was found on the side if the road, horribly injured and barely holding on. She had likely been hit by a car and the impact left her with devastating injuries. One of her eyes is popping out of its socket due to the trauma, and her jaw got broken, making it difficult for her to eat or even move without pain.
When found, Sophie was covered in her blood and had to receive immediate care. Luckily now, she is being stabilized with pain relief, IV fluids, and antibiotics to prevent infection. She is getting prepared for the surgeries that are crucial for her survival.
She needs two urgent surgeries. Eye surgery ($2000), to address the severe trauma to her eye. Hopefully her eye can be saved and not removed. And a jaw surgery ($2000) to repair her broken jaw so she can eat without pain.
These procedures are critical for her survival. Additionally she will need an ongoing care that includes medications, monitoring and recovery support.
