This dear 8 month old homeless street pup  was roaming aimlessly in nearby Tlacolula last week, and a desperate rescuer friend contacted me for financial help. I am calling her Millie, and she is now under the care of Clinica Veterinaria Cabritos. Her current costs are $6,963 pesos / $410 american dollars and she is going to require long term care to recover fully.  I am waiting for a detailed diagnosis and prognosis that I can more clearly understand. We do know she has tested positive for Canine Ehrlichiosis, or tick fever, which is transmitted through the bite of the brown dog tick.  It affects blood cells, reduces platelet counts, and can be fatal if not treated promptly.  She is also suffering from Non-Regenerative Anemia and Trombocitopenia.  Her immune system is seriously compromised, as you can see, and she is being treated for a serious fungal infection.

I am going to share the current information and in the next day or two I will have a clearier idea. of her healthcare needs.  Her veterinary costs will continue.  Please help Millie if you can.
