Kenya is a beautiful country in East Africa, familiar to all as the host to many of the most amazing and endangered animals left on the planet. I came to Kenya while still a schoolboy and have lived most of my life here since.

I created a dreamy beach camp from local palm fronds without the use of any steel, concrete or glass. Despite celebrity patronage, it sadly had to close after a tragic terrorist attack.

However, the whole coast is covered with coconut palm trees and it wasn't long before I found that our dogs love baked coconut chips like us! Then I found friends who had given our baked coconut chips to their horses, goats and parrots and they loved them too! Of course, all the well known health benefits of the 'Superfood' coconut go with the tasty Vegan crunchiness. 

Great as a Dog-training reward! Horses are the greediest and Goats eat everything - so bring on the coconut chips! It's Parrots' Favourite Food!

The confusing thing for stores is where to stack them - Pet Section or Healthy Snacks? Coconut Charlies are 'Human Grade' - would you treat your best friends to anything you wouldn't eat yourself? Enjoy!

Making Coconut Charlies for export to the US and the EU is a serious matter though and the high standards of government inspection requires a proper legal entity and full FDA and EU/UK Health Certification, which is expensive.

I am hoping to fund this project and a continuous coconut-shell fired oven which will be of considerable benefit to the local community from the employment generated, here on PetFundr, with your help! 

Packaging will be in handy tubs with a hoop handle of 2.2lbs (1kg)  apiece available through Pet stores, vets, supermarkets and Amazon online.
