Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read my story. My name is Mozzie, and I am a 14-year-old Poodle/Chihuahua mix. They say I’m a senior, but in my head, I’m still a puppy!

The past few years have been a bit of a rollercoaster for me. Four years ago, I had to be very brave for knee surgery. Then, a year ago, I faced a scary setback where I almost lost my ability to walk due to a side effect of a pain medication.

I’ve fought hard to get back on my paws, gradually losing sight and hearing, but now I've hit another bump in the road. I got diagnosed with diabetes and lost the sight I had and living in a world that is now completely dark and being unable to move my legs like I used to has been scary.

However, I am a fighter. I am learning to navigate this new, dark and quiet world, but the medical costs for my eye surgery, specialized care, insulin management,  and mobility therapy have become overwhelming. Even though I can’t see or hear my family’s faces and voices anymore, I can still feel their love and I know they are cheering me on.
