Help Willow Get the Veterinary Care She Needs

Willow is my sweet, gentle 15-year-old cat who has been my constant companion through so many ups and downs in life. Recently, I discovered a small nodule near her belly, close to one of her nipples. It’s soft, very movable, and sometimes crusts over — signs that could mean an infection, but in a cat her age, it could also be something more serious.

Over the past several weeks, Willow has also lost noticeable weight. While she’s still alert, affectionate, and enjoying life — eating, drinking, grooming, and even playing — I know she needs a proper veterinary exam to understand what’s going on. Without answers, I can’t give her the treatment she might need.

The vet may recommend diagnostic tests like a fine-needle aspiration, bloodwork, or imaging such as an ultrasound to find out if it’s an infection, a benign growth, or something more serious like mammary cancer. These tests and treatments can quickly add up in cost, especially if surgery is needed.

This has been a very challenging year financially for me. Between unstable work and unexpected expenses, I simply don’t have the resources right now to cover Willow’s vet bills in full. But she means the world to me, and I want to give her every possible chance at a healthy, happy life.
