We recently saw poor Cleo the stray cat near a park and we couldn't resist taking her in. After her first vet visit, we learned that Cleo is a two-month old female cat who may have had three of her legs crushed by a wheel or fallen from a height, and that she had been a stray for some time. Her front leg was broken, her back leg was broken in two different places, and she had a broken paw, and most of her toes.
She was fortunate not to have any internal bleeding or broken ribs, she has a long road of recovery ahead of her and we can use any help we can get.
Cleo will need to have his bandages changed every 10-14 days and each visit will cost in the neighborhood of $400, which is about $1600. This does not include the back leg surgery he will most likely need. She needs up to three different medications a day, as well as help with eating, drinking and toileting, so he needs around-the-clock care. Fortunately the way Cleo maintains her appetite and normal behavior is a very good sign that she is on the right track.
Please help us save our little Cleo, she is only 2 months old and our little family would not be the same without her. We took her in when she was found stray, hungry and petite but she is a fighter.
