Hi everyone, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for my best friend, Denis. Recently, I found a growth on the top of Denis's head. Our vet confirmed it is a Mast Cell Tumor (MCT). While some stay small, Denis’s tumor is growing rapidly, becoming inflamed, and causing him to itch until he bleeds.
Why the Urgency? Ferrets are exotic pets, and their surgery is complex. Because of Denis's tiny size, he needs specialized anesthesia and a delicate surgical touch to ensure he wakes up safely. If we don't act soon, the vet is concerned about infection or the tumor becoming more aggressive.
About Denis: Denis is more than a pet; he’s a tiny soul with a huge heart. He’s famous for his "war dance" and his relentless mission to steal every sock in the house. Despite the tumor, he still has so much life and mischief left in him.
The Goal: The cost for surgery, specialized anesthesia, and pathology is $700. Between the high cost of exotic care and a recent loss in my family, I am struggling to cover this alone.
