04/04/2026 Balu had an accident and has problems with walking 🥺
He is receiving a treatment for now for Inflammation - he doesn't have any bones broken. But still has problems with walking properly
he had today 06/06/2026 his appointment with a specialist neurologist.
Yesterday he couldn't walk/stand on both rear legs.
Today he can use his rear left leg.
Right rear leg while he is trying to walk/stand stays "straight", after he sit down or rest his leg is relaxed - doctor says it is a good sign that probably he can regenerat - because neuro signals change - (his leg doesn't stay all the time straight)
We help him urinate by pressing the bladder.
But today during the anti-inflammatory injection he urinated by himself - it is a very good sign, because he can gain back his sensibility to control nerves and strength, and probably get back to be healthy.
We live in Peru and all te rehabilitation and examines are very expensive - here in Peru are only a few places that can help animals in that such a situations.
He needs to have TL MRI scan (Resonancia Magnética) to be sure if he doesn't need an operation to be able to walk. We hope he will be walking - Doctor says it is possible with quick reaction and rehabilitation plus medicine and we hope no operation well be needed. But ow will be sure after MRI scan
