A month ago we received message about a cat with a head wound at Lidl on Dhekelia Rd, Larnaca.

One of our volunteers went out that evening and even though they searched everywhere there was no sign of the cat.

The next day another volunteer went and couldn't believe her luck when the cat was sitting in the next parking bay!

She was very friendly and came for food so we were able to catch her. She had a little pink collar on, so was probably a pet at one time and either dumped when she got sick or ran away.

The lump on her forehead was extremely large and bloody so she was taken immediately to a vet to be examined. The lump was found to be a benign tumour and after several days the vet operated and began to remove it, which was a very delicate operation as it was very close to her eye/eyelid and he wanted to save her eye if possible.

The pictures of her now are VERY graphic, but the wound is healing slowly.

She has now been at the vet a month so we need to start making payments on her bill and once again we look to our supporters, Lidl shoppers and the people who asked us to intervene to make donations.

The value of the final treatment cost is, as yet, unknown, but we are looking to raise €550 to start.

Any extra raised will go towards helping other sick and injured cats in Larnaca.
