Bandit’s K9Care Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of providing need based financial assistance for all breeds of dogs requiring urgent veterinary care. We were originally conceived in 2014 as a small program under a rescue organization to raise funds for smaller veterinary emergencies. But just four years later after experiencing rapid growth, we separated and became a new nonprofit corporation assisting dogs that are in rescue, foster care, or in private ownership throughout the United States. Assistance is based upon the urgency and the severity of the dog’s medical condition, the financial need of the applicant, and the availability of funds to help.

Bandit’s K9Care is now 5 years old, and receives more than 180 requests for assistance annually. Most of those applying truly qualify for assistance, but we have to turn many away because we do not have the funds to help every applicant. We always share information about other resources (many of which are listed on our website) but we know that those nonprofits are also struggling to raise funds. And many of the applicants have already applied to other organizations and/or have tried their own fundraisers with limited success.

That is why we have set up this Anniversary/Giving Tuesday fundraiser with the goal of providing additional funding to help some of our worthy applicants. We currently have four dogs awaiting funding for urgently needed surgery, and two that need specialized care for serious illnesses (see photos). All of your donations to this fundraiser will go directly to pay for their medical care so that they, and their families, will have a happy and healthy end to 2023!
