Hello my name is Barbara and this beautiful sweet girl in the picture is my best friend and probably the only reason that I am still alive and trying everything I can to repay her loyal and loving companionship. Stencil was adopted in 2021 by my ex whom she just adores and loves so much. Unfortunately he wasn't able to give her the love she gave in return and is now for the second time in her life spent the last year locked up and it nearly broke her spirit yet again. I was more than happy to take my poor girl with me to my mother's house to live where I am a caregiver full time for my younger sister who is disabled and blind now, after having a giant tumor removed from her brain. This made it really hard to give her the freedom to be a dog like she had grown up doing till the summer of 2023. We live on a busy main road in my town and despite having a huge yard front side and back of the house, Stencil has been confined to being tied to a leash anchored to the ground or a pole on the porch. Stencil is an American Bulldog and Bully mix and has really no fear of cars or the busy road. I have tried to correct the behaviors and train her to stay out of the road but I fear I have failed her due to my Mother's recent diagnosis of late stage 3 cancer and the daily trips to the next town over for treatments my poor sweet girl has been so bored and gaining weight rapidly. She needs to be able to run and I only need a basic t post and hog wire fence to give her that freedom and hopefully improve her quality of life drastically. She loves to run and she loves play with her little adopted toy chaweenie Delilah whom she has been caring for even producing milk to nurse her. I want Stencil to have the life of a dog not a chained prisoner or slave. I don't make a lot of money as I am working for the Department of Medical Services being a live in caregiver for my sister and now my Sick Mother. I just have little resources to give her a yard to play in un chained and run freely without dragging a lead and getting her legs wound up in the lead and hurting herself or stepping on it mid stride only to end up face in the dirt. I am doing all I know how to do as I have never owned a dog let alone a dog as amazing as she has grown up to be the last 5 years. I only need help for buying the supplies I'm very handy and quick to learn new things especially after my Dad passed away unexpectedly in 2018 and I had somehow had to become the "Man of the House" to elevate the stress my mother and younger sister were under and the house needing to be maintained and constantly repairing all the little things Dad always just did we never realized he did before. It's very inexpensive to put up this type of fence but I don't have enough to get the supplies on my own. Please help me so I can Help Stencil and her mini me Delilah be dogs again and not prisoners trapped in a house or in a chain outside to keep them from going out in the road. I have never done anything like this and I pray that God sends my story to the right places to achieve our goal of $450. I will build it all myself and post videos and lots of pictures of Stencil and her new baby getting to play unleashed and not trapped inside staring out a window longing to go out and run and play . She is a really good girl and deserves more than I am able to afford to do but her weight is getting worse from her lack of exercise and eating out of boredom. I do play with her and we walk and I try hard to keep up but it can hard to do while simultaneously trying to be there to care for my human family members as well. Anything would be a blessing and more than appreciated.
