Clover’s had a hard year and needs a little extra luck from her community  

After her doting owner passed away suddenly and unexpectedly around Christmas of 2025, I got to be the lucky adopter who stepped in to give Clover a loving home where her classic goofy pittie mannerisms have been a bright light in my life. She’s so very loved, even by her doggy housemate (my sister’s elderly mini-dachshund named Lily. If you know dachshunds, you know how picky they can be about who they allow as friends). 

While celebrating my birthday yesterday, Clover managed to get her paws on two large bars of dark chocolate that had been left where we thought she couldn’t access. After being rushed to the emergency vet for hospitalization, the cost for her care is estimated to soar to around $5k-$6k. That’s if everything goes well and she can come home tonight.

This estimated amount beyond maxes out what I have spent months scraping together in personal savings, and I am heartsick over the possibility of not being able to financially meet the cost of medical care that Clover needs in order to recover from this emergency. So I desperately turning to the worldwide pet-loving community to plead for any help that can be spared.

There’s no gesture too small, Clover and I would be immensely grateful for any support you can offer, whether that is a $5 donation or sharing her fundraiser.
