Help Kratos Fight for Remission

1. The Problem

Kratos is a 7-year-old Pitbull mix with a heart💙 as big as his paws🐾. My late fiancé Graham and I adopted him in 2020, and from day one, he's been a gentle, goofy soul who just wants to be close - so close that he tries to "live in your skin" during couch cuddles. Despite his separation anxiety and past trauma, Kratos has always been resilient. He loves ripping the stuffing out of toys, playing in the yard with his brother Raiden, and keeping watch from the front porch window like the family guardian he is.

But after losing Graham, Kratos showed his grief in ways that were impossible to miss. He would whine, pace, and look for Graham everywhere. Our lives had already been turned upside down, and then came the cancer diagnosis. Now, my sweet, snack-loving cuddle bug is fighting canine lymphoma.

2. The Solution

Kratos is receiving chemotherapy with Dr. Norquest in Cincinnati, about an hour from home. He's undergoing the CHOP protocol (Cyclophosphamide, Hydroxydaunorubicin, Oncovin, and Prednisone), the gold standard for canine lymphoma. This 25-week treatment plan gives Kratos the best chance at remission.

He handles the car ride calmly, but needs medication to ease his anxiety before pet visits. Treatment days leave him tired, yet even then, he still nudges his paw onto my leg asking for pets, reminding me that his loving spirit is stronger than the cancer.

3. The Gap

Every week brings new costs - bloodwork, medications, treatments - and the financial burden is heavy. Without help, the stress of paying for care threatens to take away from the time and energy I want to give Kratos. What I want most is to focus on his comfort, love, and healing - not bills.
