**3 Frenchie pups are being savagely bitten by mites! Doggy Smiles Rescue stepped up and intercepted the pups from being dumped at Palmdale kill shelter by their owner who was not prepared to treat their demodetic mange. Your help is needed to treat these Frenchies, and get them into the loving homes they deserve!**
Doggy Smiles Rescue bravely intercepted Kalia, Hunter, and Maverick the Frenchies from being abandoned by their owner at Palmdale kill shelter. There are 2 reasons this was possible: 1) Because Palmdale shelter is so inefficient that there was a 2 week wait for an appointment for the pups to be discarded!! And, 2) Because Doggy Smiles Rescue has taken on the burden of veterinary bills for these 3 scaly (yet adorable) 9 month old pups in order to provide 4 weeks of treatment for their demodectic mange.
The pups will receive weekly injections of ivermectin and also regular medicated baths via Rescue Oasis, Palmdale, and a foster. Demodetic mange is an overgrowth of mites in the skin causing itchy, inflamed skin and sores, and hair loss.
Remember that not only did Doggy Smiles Rescue prevent the Frenchies from having to endure Palmdale kill shelter and potential euthanasia, but they also gave 3 other shelter pups more time by not taking up space.
