We love all of our rescues and the rescues of others we support and
this was for sure a special one. Just look at the before and after
photos: It's just incredible.
This little guy is so cute and
teeny tiny; at 5 1/2 pounds.
He was miserable; trapped inside all
of that matted hair and foxtails were burrowing into his skin and
eyes. His eyes still look inflamed, as they have ulcered. He is on eye
drops drops three times a day.
He is, however, getting happier
everyday. He wags his little tail and is getting quite bossy with his
adoring foster mama; barking for her to throw the ball for him. He is
also so happy to have playmates with the other pups in the
home.
He is not out of the woods yet, though. He's about 10 years
old and it is thought the abuse and neglect has been going on for
years. This has resulted in bladder stones. These stones never stop
growing and are affecting his kidneys. He is being treated by a
wonderful vet and we are very hopeful.
This little guy is
probably enjoying his life for the first time in years. He is very
affectionate and funny and his foster mom is in love with him. He is
being treated like the most pampered pooch there is!!
So,
although there is a battle ahead to get him well, to continue his
happy life; for now, he is happy, safe, warm and loved.
To those

ORIGINAL.STORY:
This poor little guy was thankfully
rescued; when he was heard crying in a yard.
The person who
discovered him, is a daughter of a person who regularly fosters dogs,
for a wonderful rescue that we have supported in the past.
This
good samaritan scooped him up and took him to her mother, who
immediately called the rescue she fostered for.
The rescue went
into action and whisked this poor little thing to her vet.
Every
inch of this little guy hurts, as the matting is so severe and horror
of horrors one of his little legs has been snapped into pieces. We
feel sure a human did that to him.
He is so depressed and in so
much pain, he is shutting down. He will not eat or drink.
His
blood tests are horrible. He has an extremely high white blood count
and is very anemic. They fear infection or cancer.
They, of
course, are going to try and save him; because he deserves a chance.
Please help this little boy. This fundraiser is very urgent; they need
to work fast.
