Dakota is my PTSD service dog and emotional support companion. She has been by my side through surviving domestic abuse, and she helps me feel safe, grounded, and less alone every day.
Dakota was previously diagnosed with Lyme disease and was treated for it. She is now due for her yearly vet exam and needs Lyme disease retesting to make sure she is doing okay and to stay ahead of any health concerns.
The solution is simple: I need help covering Dakota’s current care needs, including her yearly vet exam, Lyme retesting, flea and tick prevention, food, and basic essentials that keep her healthy and cared for.
The barrier is financial. I am a domestic abuse survivor working to rebuild stability, and right now I do not have enough breathing room to cover Dakota’s care on my own. My goal is $600, which would help make sure she gets the vet care and supplies she needs.
