We are Joel and Shauna Crisler. Our dogs Diego, an American Bulldog rescue, Reilly, a
Boxer mix mobility service dog, and Ruby, a yellow Lab mix mobility service dog have
been falsely accused of attacking a neighbor’s dog.

We did not receive the summons for
the hearing and did not have our day in court to defend these precious dogs. We have
been ordered to turn the dogs over to the Prince George’s County (Maryland) Animal
Control Board, for which they will most likely be put down.

Diego is the sweetest and most lovable pet you could hope to have. He is very loving and
begs for attention. He will snuggle up to you and lick you if you are having a rough day.
Reilly and Ruby are Shauna’s mobility service dogs and are essential to her daily life.
They are also very loving and supportive; they love to play and nap, and treats, don’t
forget the treats. All of them have received extensive training and, while not always
perfect, are very well behaved and do not have any aggressive tendencies. On the day of
the alleged attack neither Diego nor Ruby were in the neighborhood.

We have to file, and win an appeal hearing in the Circuit Court in order to get a new
hearing in front of the Animal Control Board. We have already paid over $2000.00 in
legal fees and have not even gotten to the appeal hearing. We expect that the total legal
defense could exceed $7500.00.

Please help us save our dogs... No contribution is too small. Any contributions in
excess of the legal fees will be donated to Fidos for Freedom.
