Having almost 40 pups in the rescue at one time can take it's toll on our hearts, our energy & our wallet... we work very hard to make sure that everyone stays up-to-date on their vetting and is taken care of immediately if an unforeseen situation or emergency arises...
It seems like we have a TON of pups needing their annual exams and vaccinations within a 4-month timeframe, most of them coming in a year ago from October until February... we have been working on their vetting appointments but then some pups starting needing extra or unexpected visits...
Lakota needed some vaccinations but is also having some hair loss/skin issues... Crystal was due for some vaccinations but also has something else going on... losing weight & urinating a lot... Mia, despite being on a diet, is still gaining weight and her stomach is round and hard... Rocky was due for his yearly exam and went into his foster-to-adopt... Livy is due for vaccinations and needs to have surgery to have a growth removed from her eyelid... she has an approved application but needs tended to first medically... and then we of course have the two new little, Bert & Ernie... starting with their vetting from square one...
All of this has started and will continue with three visits this week alone... these are things that cannot be prolonged or pushed aside... and with the winter months, our fundraising events are almost non-existent so we rely on online stuff... with all of this happening so quickly, we need to do this Fundrazr to get these pups taken care of right away... these situations are urgent... we need to figure out what is going on with our babies.
