Hi im lisa and sassy boo is our beautiful 2 year old golden retriever,  sassy urgently needs a hip replacement maybe both because shes suffering from hip dysplasia,  which is causing her disabling pain and seriously affecting her quality of life .

Sassy is not just a pet to us  , shes a huge part of our family . She brings so much love , comfort and support into our home every single day. 

She has a very special bond with my son , who has brain damage and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome a rare form of epilepsy which causes multiple seizures daily with many seizure types . Sassy gives him emotional comfort in a way that is hard to put into words. Her presence helps calm him , soothe him, and you can see how much happiness she brings to him . Which makes her even more precious to our family .

Sassy should be enjoying life, running and playing but we are having to leave her behind because a 10 minute walk on the flat every other day is all she can manage.  Even that can leave her struggling so badly that she is sometimes unable to stand properly or go potty .

It is heartbreaking to watch her go through this at such a young age . Her quality of life is nowhere near what is should be  ,and all we want is to help her live the happy,active ,pain free life she so deserves. 

We have a consultation booked for the 12th of march at west midlands veterinary referrals to move forward with the treatment she needs .

Cost -

Hip replacement surgery-£6750

Consultation- £210

Hydrotherapy sessions £500

We are insured for £6500 , but we still need help covering:

The amount over the insurance limit £250

10% of the outstanding bill £650 

The £170 excess 

The consultation fee £210

The Hydrotherapy sessions £500

We are desperately trying to raise money to cover the costs not met by our insurance so sassy can finally get the treatment she desperately needs.
