Hi Everyone! I thought I would make this as brief as possible. Simply put: we need to insulate the roof of the new Vegas Bunny Barn ASAP! Since the beginning of July, we have been fighting sweltering weather. The barn has no shade and we worry about the approach of the "dog days of August." We were so fortunate to be able to purchase a new AC - however, because we do not have electricity (which we also badly need especially for the coming winter to help keep them warm: cost $2,500) we have run 200 foot long contractor extension cords. These work fine, so long as you are there to monitor them, as they can "trip" the line and then the ac and fans stop running. This means someone has to always be here in case this should happen. Because the roof isn't insulated, this just adds to the problem. No cold can be kept inside and in the winter, the heat will escape. We have met with a local contractor. The total cost for insulation is $700. This is a big problem and we were hoping you could help. Please donate if you can. Every $1 helps, I promise. These are the sweetest bunnies. The barn houses 28 buns that were part of a nation-wide rescue by humane societies and shelters from the dumpsites of Las Vegas. Please help us keep them comfortable. Thank you so much!
