Bugsy was a rescue dog brought up from a high kill shelter in California. He came with some health problems but nothing that we haven't been able to treat. However, he's started limping and the vet tells us he's blown his cruciate ligament. In human biology, his "kneecap" is on the side of his leg. He needs surgery to fix this so he can walk. He's been limping around but if he's really motivated he'll just pick up the leg and run on three legs .

His adorable love for life hasn't been damped by this injury. He still loves to explore and cuddle and investigate. Nothing has stopped his joy. I've honestly never seen an animal who loves life as much as this little guy. I don't know what his life was like for the ten years before I met him, but he was a found as a stray, overweight, with a mouth full of rotted teeth, so it can't have been a very good life. I just want to provide him with as much love and healthy living as I can because that's what he deserves.
