We have been made aware of a terrible situation involving 45 little fur babies. Several rescues are stepping in to help. We would, with your help, like to join them. Please read the desperate plea for help from the rescue first on the scene:
"Hello to our supporters and followers. We apologize for not posting lately but we have been busy working on a local hoarding case. 45 dogs in total were being kept in unliveable conditions on a property that was red tagged. These poor dogs were left exposed to our desert elements during the cold winter nights and rising desert temperatures during the day. We had 48 hours to move them before animal control stepped in and they would be taken to kill shelters. We are a small-town rescue, in a rural area and the property where the dogs were kept was about 40 minutes outside our little town. We literally had just hours to save as many dogs as we could. We reached out to other rescues in California. With little time to waste we tried to make a miracle happen. Included in the 45 dogs are 21 little puppies, all still nursing from four mothers. There are also two pregnant females and sadly one of them is paralyzed and will need a c-section to safely deliver her litter. None of these dogs had proper care for every day living, let alone any vetting care. A huge majority of the dogs were a year or less in age. We all pulled together to pull all but 7 of these dogs and arrange transport to Washington and Southern California, where two wonderful rescues stepped up to take them into their care. We will be taking the remaining 7 dogs. As of today we have dogs traveling to their rescues. The bills are mounting up fast. Transport costs, including vehicle rentals, dog shots, spay and neuter will be needed, the upcoming c-section, other medical needs, food and other costs we have not even thought of yet. We are in desperate need of funds to help with this rescue case."
