Wild at Life e.V. hasn't added a story.
Valued at anywhere between $7- and $23 billion per annum, IWT (Illegal Wildlife Trafficking) is quoted by the World Economic Forum as one of the most profitable criminal enterprises worldwide, alongside arms dealing, drugs and human trafficking, yet it lacks prominence as a financial crime.
Illegal wildlife trafficking is one of the most lucrative trafficking. Comes at 4th place after drug, weapon and human. All these crimes are some notorious webs that is interconnected and will always include highly dangerous criminals.
illegal wildlife trafficking is decimating our wildlife and harms
biodiversity. Animals are poached, most of them killed in process and
survivors sold to the trade. They are orphans and victims. They will
end up as pets, rituals, Asian medicine or food. International NGO Wild at Life
e.V.
works on the most dangerous places to stop this horror
from happening. The NGO has rescued many victims of the trade across
Africa and gave the animals the care and shelter they need. This is
the ultimate goal of the NGO: combatting illegal wildlife trafficking
and conserving Biodiversity.
The team has now found countless of trapped primates, some babies, in the Lagos market. Some Patas and Mona monkeys, all trapped in bird cage. One patas is so little that he can’t make it alone, would need extra care.
Some are even trapped in a cage smaller than
them.
The place is filthy, many animals dead on ground, a real spot for a next zoonotic diseases. These places are tipping point and invitations to next pandemics. They need to be banned once and for all.
For now we need to take the animals from there and built a proper area for the rescues. They won’t be able to go back to wildlife nor released as they won’t tend anymore for themselves. Means we need to care for them forever. For that we need YOU. Would you contribute to us so we can swiftly rescue the victims and place them under Wild at Life care ?
They need to be out!
Wild at
Life Chief Conservation Officer Asli Han Gedik added: “Wild at
Life is conserving the pangolins and other endangered species in the
wild, rescuing and rehabilitating the victims of this notorious
trade and protecting them from the trade. Despite being some of the
gentlest creatures around, pangolins just can't catch a break. They
now face extinction thanks to rampant misinformation spread by
humans.
We are now the only ones who can save them – and ourselves.
“
Thank you
Wild at Life is an official registered NGO incorporated in Germany and with a strong track record on such mission.
