This is Noah. He is our Superman. He is almost 14 and is on the autism spectrum, along with having PTSD, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, OCD, speech apraxia and speech delays, developmental delays, intermittent explosive disorder, tic disorders, epilepsy and Dicer1. Noah was placed with us in 2014 and we made our family whole in 2016. Noah is the center of our world. Noah is getting to the age where he will be graduating from ABA therapy soon and we are excited for what his future holds. Noah is homeschooled and focuses on life skills during his studies. We are going to be getting Noah a psychiatric service dog to help assist in day to day task. This is important for us and for Noah to keep him safe and help him regulate his emotions which he struggles with. We will be getting a puppy/young dog to train to help him with grounding, deep pressure therapy, panic response, create a physical buffer from him and danger/others that may affect Noah’s sensory, interrupt repetitive behaviors, and other sensory needs Noah may have. We have created this fundraiser to help alleviate some of the cost. Dogs are not cheap but service dogs require specialized training, and equipment.
