With donations down by 30% (due to inflation - sadly, this is affecting animal shelters across the nation) we need to quickly raise funds for food and supplies for the animals and refill their food pantry (including hay). It's spring at the farm and that means lots and lots of extra expenses. Not only are there projects galore but the vet needs to give the rescue animals their yearly vaccinations (which costs around $2K). On top of that our animal care funds are nearly exhausted. With donations down by 30% (due to inflation - sadly, this is affecting animal shelters across the nation) we need to quickly raise funds for food and supplies for the animals and refill their food pantry (including hay). We are hoping to raise $5k to help meet these costs.
Our work here is so important, not only to all the rescue animals who reside here and depend on us, but as a charitable institution. Our message about compassion for animals is widely spread; and the home we have created for them is something out of a storybook. Although Cottontail Cottage is a 501(c)3 nonprofit (your donations are tax-deductible), it is not funded by any state, government, or local agencies, but simply by the generosity of people, who like us, care about animals so very, very much.
Please donate what you can. We know times are hard. But hear this: every dollar counts (big or small from $5, $10, $50, $500) and adds up in a monumental way helping us meet our spring fundraising goal. It doesn't take a lot to make a difference. And we are incredibly grateful for the help. It is truly needed and truly appreciated..
