Update: 7/7/24- When I first created this campaign there were 7 kittens left from the first 4 litters plus an additional 4 that were born outside. They all died except for 2. 4 whole litters of kittens have been lost, and the 2 that are left are extremely sick. They need emergency care or eventually those 2 will die as well 😔 My heart has been broken, and at this point I've pretty much given up on being able to save them.

Hi, My name is Airen and I need help caring for our colony of cats and kittens that lives in our backyard. My goal is to raise enough money to get the kittens medical care for eye infections, spayed and neutered, outdoor cats house, and peat moss so they can have a specific area to use the bathroom instead of using the whole backyard.

To make a very long story short, me and mom would leave food and water out for the stray and feral cats. (We are cat lovers) One day a family of 4 cats and 2 kittens moved in our backyard. Shortly after they began to multiply. We were worried that the kittens wouldn't survive the winter so we sheltered them in the basement during course of the winter. We let them out on good days, and they began to multiply again. From March until last week, there have been a total of 5 litters of kittens born. Unfortunately, 2 litters of kittens were lost due to some type of illness. Since having all those cats in the house in the house is impossible due to limited space and financial reasons, they had to go back outside. Trying to care for all those cats over the winter was a struggle. My mom and I have limited income and buying food and litter was becoming too expensive. And on top of that we have 3 cats of our own.

To the 4 original kittens, this their home and it's all they know. I just want to continue making it their safe haven even though they are outside. Also, I want to do my part to help decrease the amount of stray and feral cats, by getting them fixed, while increasing their life span by providing a sanctuary for them in our backyard. 

Neighbor strays and ferals cats depend on compassionate humans like ourselves for survival. And as we all know, the local shelters are full of cats and are barely taking in new cats. Your donation will help save the lives of 6 adult cats and 8 kittens, while also doing your part in decreasing the incidences of cat repopulation and homelessness. I know I can't save all the homeless cats in the world, but I am trying to make a difference for the ones living in our backyard.
