Chewie
My cat Chewie is is coming up to 2 years old. She has just had a battery of tests and has an initial diagnosis of primary neutropenia with anaemia. This is relatively rare in cats.
The problem was, in order to even come to the diagnosis required, an absolute battery of tests were conducted, some very intrusive.
She was also very anemic and critical.
The intensity of treatment and testing incurred huge veterinary bills but diagnosis was only the first hurdle.
The insurance was completely eaten and now we are resorting to selling things and fundraising.
The treatments will be ongoing and we will need regular bloods to monitor her blood cell count. Chewie will also be susceptible to illness and infection due to the immune suppressant drugs.
By donating, we can help pay for all outstanding veterinary fees and also the inevitable future treatments Chewie is going to need in order to have a quality of life.
She is only 2 years old and has a lot of life to live.
